1889 Regulator Almanac & Memorandum Booklet – Simmons Liver Regulator
Original late-19th-century almanac and pocket memorandum published in 1889 by J. H. Zeilin & Co. of Philadelphia. Produced as both a practical household reference and an advertisement for Simmons Liver Regulator, one of the most widely used patent medicines of the Victorian era.
The booklet includes monthly almanac pages with moon phases, planetary aspects, zodiac information, eclipses, and period medical advice, along with erasable memorandum pages intended for notes, accounts, or shopping lists.
This example retains the majority of its memorandum pages unused, with a small amount of original handwritten entries adding authentic historical character. A fascinating glimpse into everyday life, health practices, and advertising in late-19th-century America.
An excellent piece of medical, advertising, and domestic ephemera from the Victorian period.
